Arete Plate, 25 cm
This sculptural bowl symbolizes 'Arete,' one of the most significant virtues of the ancient Roman world, representing moral excellence. Inspired by the statue of Arete on the façade of the Celsus Library in Ephesus, this design reflects the moral integrity, virtue, and honesty that individuals embody in life. The gold details on the bowl, like the crown on Arete's head, represent the brilliance of virtue and perfection, while the simple and elegant lines bring together the grandeur of the ancient world in a modern form. In Roman society, Arete was not just a personal virtue but also embraced as a philosophy of life. Each time this bowl is used, it brings the powerful philosophy of the ancient world into your space, offering a work of art that will add meaning to your life.
